Girls With A Cause

Girls With A Cause (GWAC) is a teen coaching/mentoring program that focuses on character development and community service. Its mission is to help teen-aged girls find and express their voices through acts of kindness. GWAC emphasizes self-esteem building, character development, team building, leadership skills, social skills and contributing to community.

Inly parents Glenn and Sarah Ordway founded GWAC in 2006. The Rodman Ride for Kids, a foundation that donates millions of dollars to children’s causes annually, has endorsed GWAC and its programs.

This fall Sarah Ordway has been working with 7th and 8th grade Inly students to make sterling silver jewelry and message laden bracelets in an after-school GWAC program. All of the jewelry made will be sold at this year’s Inly Arts Festival and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Brien Nelson Foundation.
